Wherever anyone happens to be on Auradon, sooner or later they're going to encounter a sweet, fluffy, fox-like animal. She might be sitting on a chair, a windowsill, a banister, up to a table, or stretched out in the grass. When she sees anyone approach, she will immediately speak in an innocent little girl's voice, around 7 in human years.
"Everything is so pretty here! I love everything! This is a really nice dream. I wish I could show everything to Radley!"
Let's hope she won't be too distressed to learn it isn't a dream....

Jan. 28th, 2026 01:18 amRadley was nervous but kind of excited. Finally, things had settled down enough that Sephiroth was bringing some friends of his from Lark's home world. Radley had wanted to talk to them ever since Sephiroth had told him about them, but things always seemed to get in the way. At last it was happening and he was pacing, waiting for them to appear.
Sephiroth had never met Lark; she had been sent home right before Sephiroth had arrived in that world. Radley often thought of her and wondered how she was doing. Being able to meet people who knew her from her home was more than a little exciting. He hoped they would like what he could tell them about her.
Finally a portal opened in the apartment living room. He came to attention. "Hi," he greeted with an easy-going smile. He would not show nervousness.

With everyone asleep for so long maintenance has fallen by the wayside. The Misery-called will awaken to a disgustingly damp school. It doesn't help that they each woke up in a trashed classroom they didn't well know, alone. The hallways are dim and have mildew on the walls. Here and there in corners are clusters of scary looking fungi. Stalks so pale they almost seem to glow, and black heads with dark red stripes. If anyone is brave enough to sample one though, they will find it to have am okra-like texture, but a very bland mild taste. It is wet and squishy, but won't kill those who eat them in moderation.
Any harvested mushrooms will remain until used or until a week has passed. Whichever comes first. Those left on the walls and on the grounds will fade at midnight. On the beach lot of sargassum has washed ashore. The smell is horrendous and it is crawling with small insects. It will need to be cleared away before the beach can be properly utilized again. There is a lot of it, and this task will require something the Isle isn't really famous for - teamwork. Also even if the person power is present to move it, the question remains what to do with it all? Any unused or unprocessed sargassum will remain for at least a month, and that smell isn't getting any less noxious with time.
Should it be concerning that late one night someone so tall and thin it probably was the headmaster was spotted sneaking through the shadows to harvest some before hiding away in the school once more?
Nah, that... Should be fine... Right?

No One's Gloomy Or Complaining
Jan. 25th, 2026 10:33 amWaking up, each of the Missrecalled and their companions would feel as though their sleep was good and restful. Healing as only sleep can be. The dreams might have seemed odd or scary or troubling, but for now they are over, and it is a lovely day in Auradon. It was early morning when the Missrecalled awakened in a large puppy pile of sleeping bodies. It was easy to get free, at least. Also, there was a beautiful sunrise to be seen by those woke up first. Dew bedecked the grass, and there was a taste of spring in the air.
After the sunrise, things shifted. A rainbow appeared over the castle and lingered until dusk at which point it was briefly a double rainbow. All the way. But with the fading of daylight so faded both rainbows.
The night is pleasantly cool. And for the first night several night blooming flowers that hadn't been there before. They were in shades of purples and golds, and perfume the night beautifully. Anyone wishes to can pick the flowers to keep, they will survive in a vase for at least a week without wilting, though after about a week they will simply fade away a bit at a time over several days. Seeds and cuttings can be harvested. If they are planted within a week, they can grow! But any plants still naturally in the ground would fade away to nothing with the next sunrise.
Spring is clearly here. However long everyone slept, it was a while, and now Spring in full bloom. The time to plant is nearly over and weeds have taken advantage of the Missrecalleds' absence. There is plenty to do for those who are botanically minded. For everyone else, there are days full of beautiful weather that saves all their rain for when no one is outside to be caught in it, and yet would manage to rain just the perfect amount for the plants' needs.
But after everything - the age shifts, the frenzied attempt to work on more of the barrier of junk, the weird dreams - Auradon is once more settling into its too pristine base state. Maybe things are over for the moment? Maybe? But even if they aren't the weather seems to invite the Missrecalled to act as though it was so. This was hammock weather, laying in the grass with an iced fruit juice while watching the clouds with a good friend sort of weather. Probably best to enjoy it while it lasts.
